Horizontal Transition

It is the transition from one higher education institution to another (from a university to another or from a faculty / college applying equivalent education programs within the same university).

The transfers to the faculties and colleges affiliated to Ankara University are organized by the related faculty / school administration board based on the “Principles of Horizontal Transfer between Universities at Undergraduate and Undergraduate Level” regulation.

In the related regulation, the horizontal transition is arranged as follows.

ARTICLE 28 – (1) Transition between associate degree and bachelor degree programs in university institutions, double-major, sub-branch and inter-institutional credit transfer rules are made by the relevant board of directors on the basis of the provisions (updated in the Official Gazette dated 24/4/2010 and numbered 27561).

Vertical transmission

Vertical transmission: Students who are graduated from associate degree programs are enrolled in the undergraduate program with a vertical transmission to continue their undergraduate studies.

Vertical transmission to faculties and colleges affiliated to Ankara University are organized by the related faculty board of directors on the basis of “The Principles Of Horizontal Transfer Between Universities” regulation.

Article 29 – (1) The continuation of the undergraduate education for associate degree graduates is made by the relevant board of directors on the basis of the regulation Published in the official newspaper no. 24676 dated 19/2/2002.
